Job Title: Laboratory Technician

Location : Monroeville, PA USA 15146

Duration: 12 Months Contract (Potential Temp to Perm)

Pay Rate : $20.50/hr.

Shift Time: 1st Shift (M-F; 8am-4pm)

Description:

• Opportunity to be converted to Permanent employee for the right fit.
• Education not required but candidates with an associate or bachelor’s degree in the science field is preferred.
• Experience in a manufacturing setting, cleanroom environment, or lab setting is beneficial.
• Looking for someone who enjoys being on their feet and working with their hands for most of the day.
• Contract is for 1 year with the opportunity to be hired as a permanent employee. Looking for someone that wants multiple years of employment.
• Under direct supervision, performs a variety of routine laboratory operations in a quality assurance or research setting.
• Duties usually consist of making measurements, performing several routine quantitative and qualitative biological or chemical analytical tests according to standard procedures.
• Assists higher level technicians in setup of laboratory equipment and in recording data for experiments and procedures.
• Requires knowledge in using various instruments to prepare for and perform tests.
• Performs routine and safety program checks and preventive maintenance on instruments.
• This is an entry-level position. Typically requires a high school education or equivalent and no prior experience.
