About the Role:
Seeking a detail-oriented Lab Associate I to support essential diagnostic testing that helps veterinarians diagnose illnesses, injuries, and diseases in pets and other animals. In this hands-on role, you will assist with specimen processing, move samples throughout the lab, load analyzers, maintain equipment, and keep workflows running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
• Check in couriers and prepare incoming samples
• Unbag, barcode, and “run” samples around the lab
• Load samples into analyzers and centrifuges; perform basic prep steps
• Maintain lab cleanliness and support general lab tasks
• Manage inventory, stock supplies, and handle administrative tasks
• Enter data, support systems, and ensure accurate recordkeeping
What You’ll Bring:
• Ability to interpret SOPs, MSDSs, safety rules, and technical instructions
• Strong attention to detail with excellent prioritization and multitasking skills
• High level of initiative and follow-through
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Customer-service focus and solid computer skills (Microsoft Office; SAP a plus)
• Ability to lift/move up to 25 lbs and safely handle lab materials
