Overview -

The Confirmations Technician II will be responsible for performing confirmation testing using GC/MS and/or LC/MS/MS systems in a regulated laboratory environment. This role requires strict adherence to SOPs, accurate documentation, and maintenance of quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities -

• Read, understand, and strictly follow written Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Correctly identify analyzed samples and verify the accuracy of batch sequences
• Process acquired instrument data and generate corresponding reports
• Conduct first-level review of GC/MS and/or LC/MS/MS analytical data according to assay-specific SOPs
• Transcribe or upload results into the Laboratory Information System (LIS) for final review and certification
• Maintain accurate and complete Chain of Custody documentation for all batches
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and escalate emerging issues promptly
• Maintain and promote a safe and compliant laboratory environment

Education Qualifications & Requirements -

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or a related scientific discipline (required)

Experience -

• Minimum 1 year of experience in an analytical laboratory setting (preferred)
• Experience working safely with biological specimens, chemicals, laboratory equipment, and instruments.

Skills -

• Familiarity with GC/MS and/or LC/MS/MS systems
• Strong understanding of laboratory safety and quality standards
• Attention to detail and ability to follow SOPs precisely
• Strong documentation and organizational skills
• Effective communication and problem-solving abilities
