Injection and Blow Molding Maintenance Specialist

Location: Neptune City, NJ | Employment: Full-Time | Shifts: Day & Night (12-hour)

Role snapshot

• Reports to: Plant Engineer
• Standards: ISO 9001:2015, cGMP, OSHA, Lean/5S
• Focus: Reliability, uptime, and safe operation of production and facility systems

What you will do

• Conduct preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on molding lines and auxiliaries (extruders, conveyors, chillers, compressors).
• Troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical issues, including 480V three‑phase systems.
• Oversee critical infrastructure: HVAC, DI water, compressed air, vacuum, lighting, building automation.
• Partner with engineering and production to minimize downtime and improve throughput.
• Record all work in the CMMS (e.g., IQMS) and support root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
• Maintain a safe, clean workspace while following OSHA and site policies.
• Assist with equipment installs and relocations; fabricate parts using hand tools and basic machine shop equipment (welding a plus).

Qualifications

• Technical training program or 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience; plastics or pharmaceutical preferred.
• Hands-on expertise with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems in heavy industrial settings.
• Proficiency with manuals, schematics, and PLC troubleshooting (programming a plus).
• Familiar with ISO 9001, GMP, Lean, and 5S methodologies.
• Computer proficiency: Microsoft Office and CMMS platforms.

• Proactive, solution-oriented, and collaborative.
• Clear communicator; comfortable working independently and handling multiple priorities.
• Adaptable and eager to take on new challenges.

Physical requirements

• Lift up to 50 lbs regularly; up to 70 lbs occasionally.
• Stand, bend, kneel, and climb ladders/steps as needed.
• Work at heights and within tight spaces.

Schedule & shifts

12-Hour Schedule (2-3-2 Format)

• You work 2 days, then have 2 days off
• Then you work 3 days, followed by 2 days off
• Then you work 2 days, and the cycle repeats

This allows for a consistent rotation and includes every other weekend off.

Shift Times
Day: 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
Night: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
