About Abby:

Abby is the AI therapist for the next generation: always available, radically accessible, deeply personalized, and breaking down stigma around mental health. As we scale our platform and our message, we’re seeking a senior PR partner to drive thought leadership, elevate the Abby brand, and own our media strategy end-to-end.

Role Overview:

As Abby’s in-house PR lead, you will own all public relations efforts—strategy, execution, and measurement. You’ll translate Abby’s vision into stories that cut through noise, position us at the center of the mental health and AI conversation, and build relationships that drive coverage, credibility, and trust.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect and own Abby’s PR strategy: earned media, founder profile, product launches, research, and crisis response
• Build and maintain relationships with top-tier media, tech/AI journalists, and mental health publications
• Pitch and place features, op-eds, interviews, and Abby-originated research stories
• Craft compelling narratives, press materials, media kits, and messaging frameworks
• Act as a strategic advisor for executive visibility, thought leadership, and speaking opportunities
• Monitor media, manage news cycles, and prepare for crisis communications
• Measure and report on coverage, share of voice, and qualitative PR impact
• Collaborate with our leadership, research, and marketing teams to surface stories that matter

Who You Are:

• 7+ years in PR, preferably with early-stage tech or mission-driven brands
• A portfolio of placements in national and tier-1 media
• Proactive, resourceful, and accountable—comfortable working independently and setting your own priorities
• Able to distill complex ideas (AI, psychology, mental health) into stories that resonate
• Thrive in fast-moving environments; strong crisis instincts, calm under pressure
