Job Title: HVAC Project Executive

Location: Sacramento, CA

Job Overview

We seek an experienced and dynamic HVAC Project Executive to lead major commercial HVAC construction projects in the Sacramento region. This senior-level, full-time position offers long-term career growth with a respected mechanical contractor. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing large-scale HVAC projects and a proven ability to lead teams, build relationships, and drive business success.

Responsibilities

• Manage one or multiple large-scale HVAC construction projects (>$10M).
• Lead all phases of project delivery: sales, estimating, preconstruction, execution, and close-out.
• Develop new business opportunities and maintain strong relationships with general contractors, building owners, and key stakeholders.
• Supervise and mentor project managers, engineers, and support staff.
• Coordinate cross-functional efforts with internal teams: engineering, detailing, estimating, field operations, purchasing, and executive leadership.
• Engage with subcontractors, suppliers, architects, engineers, and owner reps to ensure project alignment and execution.
• Drive value engineering and cost-effective equipment buyout strategies.
• Review and approve project schedules, labor reports, change orders, and financial documents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred).
• 10+ years of progressive experience in HVAC project management or construction.
• Proven success managing multi-million-dollar HVAC or mechanical construction projects.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems design, construction processes, and building codes.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam).
• PMP or LEED certification is a plus.
