Job Description
We are seeking a talented professional to fill a Human Resources Manager role in Essex County, New Jersey. This is full time, permanent position with an onsite work model.
Responsibilities :
- Provide day-to-day HR support across payroll, benefits, talent acquisition, and employee relations.
- Partner with leadership to plan and implement organizational changes while ensuring confidentiality.
- Maintain and update personnel records, including performance, disciplinary actions, and employee status changes.
- Facilitate new hire onboarding, orientation, and benefits enrollment.
- Support recruiting efforts including posting job ads, reviewing applications, and maintaining applicant tracking.
- Administer leave programs, workers’ comp, and return-to-work processes.
- Process payroll changes and assist with payroll administration.
- Assist with company-wide events, training initiatives, and employee engagement activities.
- Respond to employee inquiries and offer thoughtful HR solutions.
- Conduct exit interviews and coordinate termination procedures.
- Stay informed on current HR best practices and compliance updates.
Qualifications:
- Bilingual: Fluent in both English and Spanish (preferred).
- 3+ years of experience in Human Resources, including exposure to payroll, benefits administration, and recruitment.
- Solid knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Proficient with HRIS systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and strong organizational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and maintain confidentiality.
- Previous experience supporting a manufacturing or industrial workforce is a plus.
Compensation:
Salary up to $90,000/year
