Health Advocate Student Intern - Job Overview

Schedule: Monday-Saturday (8 Hours Per Week) | Begins January 9th and Ends May 2nd

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct real-time research and shine like a star providing top-notch referrals to essential social services!
  • Team up with families to create fantastic plans for service connections, moving mountains to overcome barriers!
  • Communicate like a rockstar, maintaining professionalism and accessibility aligned with Legacy’s values while following up on client plans!

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bonus points for bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish)—the more languages you know, the merrier!
  • Currently enrolled in a thrilling post-secondary program at one of our partner universities, or able to whisk through affiliation documentation like a whiz!
  • In pursuit of educational fields such as Health Care, Social Work, Nonprofit Management, Sociology, Public Health, or related areas.
  • Preferred background in community service, employment, or coursework related to health and economic disparities and social justice issues—prepare to shake things up!
  • The ability to meet EPIC proficiency standards set by Legacy Community Health—because you're just that epic!
