About the Role

We are seeking an entry-level Field Engineer to support a major airport expansion project in Austin, TX. This role offers hands-on experience in geotechnical engineering and construction fieldwork, with the opportunity to transition into a full-time position after 6 months .

As a Field Engineer, you will work on-site daily, assisting with soil testing, field observations, and reporting to ensure compliance with project specifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform field testing and inspections on soils, concrete, and other construction materials.
• Assist with data collection, geotechnical reporting, and site documentation.
• Support drilling, sampling, and subsurface investigations as required.
• Collaborate with senior engineers, contractors, and project managers to ensure quality standards are met.
• Maintain accurate daily logs and communicate field findings promptly.

Qualifications

• Civil Engineering degree required (Structural Engineering degree also considered).
• EIT registration (Engineer-in-Training) strongly preferred. Must be registered in the MyNCEES system (please provide full legal name and license number for verification).
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work full-time on-site at ABIA.
