Join the Blur Events dedicated team to gain hands-on experience in event production in Lincoln, Nebraska. Blur Events is seeking a full-time Event Logistics Assistant who is dependable and hardworking, able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Role Description

The Event Logistics Assistant is a full-time, on-site role, based in Lincoln, NE. The role involves supporting event setup and teardown, and organizing equipment for various events. Responsibilities include coordinating logistics for event supplies and ensuring equipment is prepared and maintained. You will also collaborate with the event team to meet specifications and timelines. The assistant will help ensure smooth event operations—pay based on experience.

Qualifications

  • Hardworking with a track record of dependability and reliability is very important.
  • Excellent organization skills to handle equipment logistics and ensure timely preparation and maintenance.
  • Ability to follow directions.
  • Flexible and adaptable to change.
  • Willingness to learn quickly, take on responsibility, and be accountable for your work.
  • Ability to work physically during setup and teardown of events.
  • Detail-oriented and proactive with an ability to adapt to fast-paced environments.
  • Experience in handling event-specific equipment (such as AV setups) is a plus.
  • Capable of lifting 50 lbs or more, such as speakers and TVs.
  • Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours.
  • Ability to work long hours during events, in all weather conditions.
  • Problem-solving skills and creativity skills.
  • Detail-oriented and able to pay close attention to tasks.
  • Experience with standard power tools, such as drills and saws, is a plus.
  • Ability to comfortably climb ladders.
  • Construction skills are preferred, but not required.
  • At least 21 years of age, preferred.
  • Valid Driver’s License with a good driving record.
