🚧 Public Estimator – Heavy Civil Construction | North Carolina

Location: North Carolina | Experience: 2–5 years | Industry: NCDOT & Municipal Projects

We’re looking for a skilled Public Estimator with 2–5 years of experience in heavy civil construction estimating. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, detail-oriented, and confident working independently on NCDOT and municipal grading, utilities, and asphalt paving projects.

🔍 What You’ll Do:

• Develop accurate turnkey estimates (materials, labor, equipment, subcontractors)
• Analyze bid documents, specs, and drawings
• Manage bid proposals and scope reviews
• Collaborate with vendors, subcontractors, and project teams
• Use HCSS HeavyBid, Planswift, or Agtek for estimating
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and proposal presentations

✅ What You Bring:

• 2–5 years of estimating experience (heavy civil preferred)
• Knowledge of HCSS HeavyBid or equivalent
• Strong Microsoft Office and takeoff software skills
• Local market knowledge a plus
• Bachelor’s in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred)
• Valid driver’s license
