Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Act as an environmental resource to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations, corporate policies, standards and guidelines, and site-specific requirements.
- Lead multi-media compliance efforts in the areas of water regulations (NPDES, SPCC, SWPPP, and RC14001), air regulations (NSR, NSPS, Title V, MACT, and EI’s) and waste (RCRA).
- Participate in regulatory audits with federal and state agencies and respond to requests or notifications from environmental agencies.
- Complete environmental regulation applicability determinations and prepare environmental permit applications and renewals.
- Evaluate environmental implications on site process changes, and participate on site project teams as appropriate.
- Lead and participate in the investigation of environmental incidents and implement systems to reduce future events.
- Establish and train employees on how to follow environmental requirements.
- Travel is less than 10%.
Qualifications:
- BS in a technical discipline preferably in chemical or environmental engineering, environmental science, or related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years in plant experience in chemical, petrochemical or manufacturing, in an environmental support capacity.
- Possess working knowledge of environmental standards and rules (RC14001, RCRA, NPDES, Title V).
- Experience in various environmental related reporting (SARA 312, 313, Air Emission Inventory, CERCLA, NPDES DMR, MACT).
