Job Description

An international industrial manufacturing corporation near the Elk Grove Village, IL area is searching for an Entry Level Mechanical Engineer to do a variety of work to support their engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining product and industry knowledge. You will work in a team-oriented environment that accelerates operational efficiency.

Entry Level Mechanical Engineer Responsibilities Include:

• Develop, coordinate, and monitor all aspects of the product
• Suggest methods to improve operational efficiency
• Work cross-functionally with different teams and organizations
• Review product design to ensure quality standards and specifications
• Develop, monitor, and review foundry processes, and investigate inefficiency and conduct adjustment
• Maintain drawings related to quality control functions
• Communicate with the production team or the other engineer departments
• Identify root causes in the production processes
• Respond to client questions, concerns, and requests
• Other Duties as assigned by Supervisor or Management

Entry Level Mechanical Engineer Requirements:

• Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred, OR equivalent work experience
• Communication skills are important!
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize work
• Familiarity with CNC machines are preferred
• Proficient in MS Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
• Must be able to work responsibly, effectively, and independently when needed
• Must be flexible and be able to work under a multicultural environment
• This position includes working in a manufacturing and/or warehousing work environment. While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, lift in excess of 25 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
