Our client is a leading designer and fabricator of commercial-grade retail display cases and millwork/décor. They work directly with leading retailers like Sam's Club , Academy , Kohl's , and Walmart to create shopping experiences seen every day. Responsibilities
- Team Leadership
- Manages & mentors a team of engineers and designers
- Fosters a collaborative & innovative work environment
- Project Management
- Oversees engineering projects from concept to completion
- Ensures they meet quality standards, timelines, & budget constraints
- Technical Expertise
- Utilizes Mastercam for CNC programming
- Utilizes SolidWorks for 3D modeling & design
- Utilizes Cutrite for routing system
- Provides guidance & support to team members
- Process Improvement
- Identifies & implements process improvements to enhance efficiency & productivity
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Works closely with departments to ensure seamless project execution & alignment with company goals
- Documentation
- Maintains accurate project documentation, including:
- Design specifications
- Project Plans
- Reports
- Research & Development
- Transforms prototype design to production in a multi-unit assembly line manufacturing facility
Qualifications
Education
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related field
Experience
- 5+ years of experience in engineering management, with a strong focus on CNC machining and CAD software
Required Skills
- Strong background in manufacturing processes
- Proficiency in Mastercam, Cadlink, & SolidWorks is essential
- Working knowledge of UL & NSF certification requirements
- Knowledge of ERP Systems
Preferred Skills
- Experience with other CAD/CAM software is a plus
- Syteline ERP experience is also a plus
