Job Description

Join our network performance team focusing on macro network optimization involving outdoor macro sites, small cells, and cutting-edge 5G technologies (C-band and millimeter wave). This role involves LTE and 5G system performance troubleshooting, data analysis, and optimization recommendations based on drive testing and service data.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze hourly and daily service measurement data to optimize LTE network performance.
• Independently troubleshoot hardware and system performance issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams as needed.
• Support performance evaluations by assessing and improving coverage in poor-performing areas.
• Participate in feature projects, new node integrations, and other centralized tasks with accountability for deliverables.
• Escalate issues to lead engineers and assist in implementing solutions.
• Conduct drive testing and data collection to support performance evaluations and network build prioritization.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5-7 years of experience in system performance or RF optimization roles.
• Experience working with 5G technologies, particularly C-band and millimeter wave bands.
• Willingness to work hybrid (2 days/week in office).

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with data collection tools such as Datapro, Trace, PCTEL, or TEMS Symphony.
• Experience with data analysis/post-processing software: Irisview, RTT, Truecall, Accuver, Trace, Actix, or TEMS Discovery.
• Knowledge of propagation and optimization modeling tools such as Atoll or DB Planner.
• Verizon-specific tool/process experience is a plus.

Education & Certifications

• Relevant degrees or certifications in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or related fields are preferred but not mandatory.
