Job Description

We have an exciting client that is seeking to hire a Director Technical Support to help lead and improve operations of their support teams within the Medical Device industry. In this role, you will oversee a team of about 20 individuals including a manager to help improve things like response & resolution times, Net Promoter Scores and other metrics for healthcare practitioners using their products.

Our client is a well-established organization located in Irvine, California. This role is full-time, primarily on-site with a target salary around $150,000 - $210,000 + 15% bonus + $15,000 LTI and other perks.

Job Responsibilities for the Director Technical Support:

• Manage not only the technical support associates but also other team leaders or managers.
• Set performance expectations, conduct regular performance reviews, and provide coaching and feedback.
• Understand the complexities of medical devices, software, and integrations.
• Develop and maintain SOPs for technical support processes.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to define and execute technical support strategies aligned with organizational goals.
• Prioritize excellent customer service, understanding the critical nature of healthcare technology.

Job Qualifications for the Director Technical Support:

• Bachelor degree in Biomedical Engineering or related discipline
• 10+ years of experience in technical support, healthcare IT, or medical device support
• 5+ years of experience of people management experience, including driving results through others, leading teams or projects, and providing training
• Level and compensation depend on location, experience, education and skills
