  • Ensure contracts align with organizational objectives and regulatory requirements.

6. Staff Education and Training:

  • Provide training to staff on legal and regulatory compliance, including risk mitigation strategies, patient rights, and ethical considerations.
  • Serve as a resource for resolving legal and compliance-related questions from staff and leadership.

7. Collaboration and Leadership:

  • Work closely with administrators, directors, and other stakeholders to align legal initiatives with organizational goals.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and advocate for the organization's best interests.

Qualifications:

· Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and active membership in good standing with the relevant state bar.

· Minimum of 7-10 years of legal experience, with at least 3-5 years in the nursing home, rehabilitation, or healthcare sector.

· Proven courtroom experience, including handling litigation, administrative hearings, and settlement negotiations.

· Strong knowledge of healthcare laws and regulations, including those governing nursing homes and rehabilitation facilities.

· Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts to non-legal professionals.

· Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate across diverse teams.

· High level of integrity, discretion, and sound judgment.

Preferred Skills:

· Familiarity with risk management tools and software.

· Experience working in multi-facility organizations or with corporate healthcare systems.

· Demonstrated ability to handle high-stress situations and competing priorities effectively.

Work Environment: This is an on-site role that requires regular travel to facilities and frequent appearances in court. The ideal candidate will have a hands-on approach and be comfortable engaging directly with operational staff, residents, and families when addressing legal matters.

Pay is 200k.
