Job Description

The Director of Business Development will be responsible for identifying, developing, and managing strategic partnerships with pharmaceutical and biotech companies. This role will focus on driving new business opportunities for sterile fill-finish services, ensuring revenue growth, and maintaining strong client relationships. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the sterile fill-finish/biologics CMO space and a proven track record of sales and business development success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a strategic business development plan to expand market presence and drive revenue growth.
  • Identify and engage potential clients, building strong relationships within the pharmaceutical and biotech industries.
  • Manage the full sales cycle, from lead generation and initial outreach to contract negotiation and deal closure.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including technical, operations, and regulatory groups, to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, regulatory changes, and market dynamics impacting the sterile fill-finish/biologics CMO sector.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to promote brand awareness and business opportunities.
  • Meet and exceed revenue and business development targets.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in business development, sales, or commercial roles within the sterile fill-finish/biologics CMO industry.
  • Strong understanding of sterile injectable manufacturing, biologics processing, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven track record of closing high-value contracts and driving revenue growth.
  • Established network within the pharmaceutical and biotech sectors.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
