Remit:

We are looking for an exceptional Director of Maintenance and Facilities who can drive cultural change as a our client looks to 5x revenue at their flagship manufacturing site.

Your primary focus will be driving operational excellence across the key disciplines of maintenance, facilities, and manufacturing engineering whilst facilitating the move to higher levels of automation.

Team size: 25, Direct Reports: 3.

Key Responsibilities:

• Establish and execute a visionary engineering and facilities strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Champion a culture of continuous improvement, leveraging Lean methodologies, poka-yoke systems, and robust validation processes.
• Mentor, develop, and inspire your team to build their confidence, capabilities, and readiness to solve complex problems autonomously.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure cohesive operational performance and alignment with organizational goals.
• Lead the shift toward data-driven decision-making, predictive maintenance, and proactive asset management.
• Manage complex facility and engineering projects with precision, ensuring compliance with regulatory (FDA, ISO, etc.) requirements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree required in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related discipline; Master's preferred.
• 10+ years in engineering and facilities management roles.
• 10+ years in FDA regulated industries such as MedTech, medical devices OR 10 years experience in high volume, mid-mix automotive, aerospace, or precision manufacturing.
• Proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams and delivering complex, high-impact projects in highly regulated environments.
