Job Title: Dairy Commodity Derivatives Trader

Salary: Commensurate with experience

Imperium Commodity Search is retained by a global dairy trading business with some exciting and aggressive growth plans in the American markets. As part of these growth plans, the requirement for both junior and experienced derivative traders has arisen for the firms hedging and speculative trading desk.

You will be working with a talented team of experienced traders, executing trades, taking positions and crafting hedging tools and solutions across swaps, options and futures.

What you will be doing:

• Manage a book on dairy derivatives for both hedging and speculative positions across the asset class
• Trading futures/options/swaps in listed and OTC dairy markets
• Work with internal trading teams on crafting hedging tools and solutions for the physical book/flows
• Provide risk management/hedging tools to external counterparties, guiding and coaching on hedging and risk strategy in dairy derivatives
• Identifying arbitrage and spec opportunity in the dairy complex/dairy derivatives remit

We would love to hear from you if you have:

• Experience working in a soft/agricultural/commodity derivative market in either OTC or Listed business
• Understanding of hedging/speculative derivative trading and position management
• Excellent attention to detail and understanding of trading mechanics
• Good understanding of programming languages (Python, R, C#, Matlab etc.) preferred
• Personable and driven with a desire to grow your career in the commodity derivatives markets within an established trading house structure
