Credit Analyst

Position Summary: The Credit/Portfolio Analyst supports the management and optimization of commercial real estate assets by providing in-depth financial analysis, performance tracking, and reporting. This role works closely with asset managers, finance teams, and executives to deliver actionable insights for investment decisions and portfolio strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect and analyze financial and operational data for a portfolio of commercial real estate assets.
  • Develop and maintain reporting tools to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), lease analytics, occupancy rates, and revenue trends.
  • Assist in preparing quarterly and annual portfolio review presentations for senior management and stakeholders.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and valuation processes for property acquisitions, dispositions, and refinancing.
  • Collaborate with asset managers to identify opportunities for value enhancement, risk mitigation, and operational efficiency.
  • Research market conditions, demographic trends, and comparable properties to inform underwriting and investment strategy.
  • Ensure accurate tracking of leases, rent rolls, and tenant-related financials using property management systems.
  • Prepare ad-hoc analysis and scenario modeling for investment, asset management, and strategic planning activities.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of real estate market trends, regulatory changes, and industry best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, real estate, accounting, economics, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in financial analysis, real estate, or investment management, preferably within commercial real estate.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial modeling; experience with ERP or property management software (e.g., Yardi, MRI) is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively in a team environment
