Job Description

We are seeking a talented and creative Copywriter to join our growing digital marketing and website development team. This role is ideal for a skilled writer with experience in blog writing and website copy, as well as a strong understanding of SEO best practices. This role requires strong collaboration with designers, developers, marketing strategists, and account managers to ensure cohesive and effective messaging. Marketing strategy knowledge is a plus, and agency experience is preferred. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working directly with clients and thriving in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct research on client industries, target audiences, competitors, and marketing trends to create engaging and effective content.
  • Write and edit website copy, blog posts, social media content, paid digital ads, email marketing campaigns, video scripts, and other digital assets.
  • Ensure all content is SEO-optimized and follows best practices to improve visibility and ranking.
  • Work closely with account managers, project managers, designers, and developers to ensure seamless content integration into websites and marketing materials.
  • Present copy concepts to internal teams and clients, incorporating feedback as needed.
  • Adapt writing style and tone to match different industries, client branding, and target audiences.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of SEO, digital marketing trends, and evolving content strategies.
  • Proofread and edit content to ensure clarity, consistency, and adherence to brand guidelines.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas to marketing campaigns.
  • Use and continue to learn about AI-powered content tools to integrate to enhance efficiency and creativity.
  • Support the Content Marketing Manager and work collaboratively with Content Marketing Specialists as needed. 
Qualifications & Experience Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, English, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in writing website copy and blogs, with a portfolio showcasing past work.
  • Understanding of marketing strategy and how copy fits into broader digital campaigns.
  • Strong knowledge of SEO principles and content optimization.
  • Ability to conduct thorough research and translate complex topics into engaging, easy-to-understand content.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong time management and multitasking skills in a fast-paced setting.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, etc.).
  • Familiarity with AI-powered content tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Jasper, Grammarly, Surfer SEO, etc.) and a willingness to continue learning and adapting to new technologies.
Preferred:
  • Experience working in a marketing agency or similar fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with WordPress and other content management systems.
  • Social media or content marketing experience.
  • Experience following brand guidelines and tone of voice standards.
