Summary:
The Controls and Compliance Analyst is responsible for monitoring projects and corporate functions for compliance with internal policies and external regulations. This role also evaluates internal controls and provides practical recommendations to strengthen financial oversight and accountability. The Controls and Compliance Analyst will work independently and collaboratively with departments across the organization and may also assist in mentoring junior staff.
What You Will Do:
· Document processes and procedures across the organization to strengthen business continuity.
· Work with business groups to implement controls where controls may not yet exist.
· Complete advisory projects to capture process and/or system changes that may impact the existing control environment.
· Review documentation to ensure regulatory compliance across the organization.
· Prepare accurate and organized workpapers that support findings and conclusions.
· Draft clear, concise reports summarizing the project scope, observations, and recommendations.
· Present project results to process owners and executive leadership.
· Participate in cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement.
· Assist during external reviews or internal investigations, as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
· Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal control principles.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
· Ability to travel up to 10%.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience working in an Internal Audit or Internal Controls group.
· Experience working in the construction or manufacturing industries.
· Experience with Power BI or other data analytics tools.
