Job Description

Position: Contract Administrator

Duration : 06 months (High Potential to Extend)

Location: Chatsworth, CA

Pay Rate: $ 26/hr on W2

Flexible on start and end time as long as it is within normal business hours .

Responsibilities

Reporting Structure:

The Contract Administrator reports to the Manager of Contract Administration along with Associate Contract Administrators, Senior Contract Administrators, Contract Data Administrators, Repair Administrators, Order Entry Secretaries, Administrative Assistants, and Secretaries. In some cases, the Contract Administrator may also receive program direction from Senior Program Managers.

Primary Focus:

  • Ensure the integrity of contractual commitments.
  • Monitor activities related to meeting company performance objectives on assigned contracts.
  • Interact with customer personnel to ensure compliance with contractual requirements and protect the company’s legal position.
  • Consult Corporate Legal Counsel when legal support or advice is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review purchase orders for consistency with proposals.
  • Enter job orders into the production master schedule (MRP).
  • Provide follow-up on technical and delivery issues with engineering and manufacturing.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to support contract execution.
  • Work with Sales & Marketing to:
  • Advise on advanced production schedules.
  • Coordinate lead times for prototype and production hardware.
  • Provide forecast data for MRP planning.
  • Interpret and manage contract changes (technical, quality, and manufacturing impacts).
  • Prepare and negotiate proposals as a contractual representative.
  • Administer foreign contracts, including compliance with U.S. Government regulations regarding sales and shipment of military/high-technology products overseas.

  • Fostering strong customer service.
  • Ensuring contractual compliance.
  • Supporting Sales & Marketing and Program Management.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of government procurement regulations.

Principal Accountabilities:

  1. Ensure integrity of contractual performance.
  2. Serve as point of contact with customers on assigned programs.
  3. Maintain currency with government procurement regulations.
  4. Perform customer interactions in a professional, credible manner to enhance future business opportunities.
  5. Review purchase orders with appropriate disciplines to ensure consistency with proposals.
  6. Initiate job orders.
  7. Initiate change-of-scope proposals.
  8. Maintain accurate and up-to-date contract files (quotations, negotiation history, purchase orders, change orders).
  9. Assist with organizing and preparing follow-on proposals.
  10. Prepare documentation for U.S. Government approval of military product shipments to foreign nationals.
