About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee construction projects across DC, Maryland, and Virginia. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and ensuring the safe, profitable, and efficient execution of multiple drywall projects. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with a deep understanding of commercial drywall construction, scheduling, and team management.

Position Overview

The Superintendent will supervise crews, coordinate daily site activities, and ensure that all work is completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with company and industry standards. This role requires a hands-on leader who can manage multiple job sites, enforce safety protocols, and drive team performance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate all drywall construction activities across multiple job sites
• Supervise and manage crews, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure work meets quality and safety standards
• Review blueprints, project specifications, and schedules to ensure proper execution
• Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements
• Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and on-site personnel
• Maintain project documentation, reports, and schedules using MS Office tools
• Identify and resolve issues or delays to keep projects on track
• Ensure adherence to company policies, safety protocols, and industry regulations

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of commercial construction experience, with a strong focus on drywall
• 2+ years in a Superintendent or leadership role, managing crews and subcontractors
• Strong knowledge of blueprints, project coordination, and compliance requirements
• Effective leadership and communication skills to drive team performance
• Comfortable overseeing site inspections and handling compliance issues
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
• Reliable transportation and flexibility to travel to project sites as needed
• Spanish fluency is a plus

Pay:

• $110,000 - $120,000 /year

Work Schedule & Travel:

• HYBRID, starting most days in office (Alexandria, VA)
• At home/remote work at least 1 day per week
• Requires travel between job sites in the DC, Maryland, and Virginia area
