Construction Dispute Resolution, Inc. (CDR) is a well-known and respected firm of construction consulting experts in Seattle whose focus is the resolution of disputes involving new construction, remodeling projects, construction related personal injury matters, Building Code and industry standards evaluation, workmanship issues, and project management. Founded in 1993, CDR provides expert consulting and forensic services, a detailed and objective analysis of the issues, recommendations for completion of work, a focused approach toward settlement, mediation, and arbitration.
ABOUT THE ROLE
CDR is searching for a professional, motivated individual to join the team as a Case Manager. As Case Manager, you will be responsible for investigation and documentation of client concerns, managing client relationships, conducting industry research, preparing detailed reports, and providing testimony in deposition, mediation, trial, and arbitration. You will also be involved in business strategy and management, with the potential to grow into a leadership role. RESPONSIBILITIES
· Perform thorough investigation and research to develop expert opinions on construction disputes
· Conduct interviews to gain understanding of each unique situation
· Conduct onsite investigations for purpose of documentation, capturing photo and video evidence
· Maintain detailed documentation of all research and interviews
· Review and organize information from various sources relevant to developing expert opinions to be offered in reports, at deposition, trial, or arbitration
· Prepare written reports identifying the issues, detailing the investigative and research work done, observations made, opinions developed, and scope of work to correct
· Provide testimony in deposition, mediation, trial, and arbitration
· Promote a culture of teamwork, collaboration, respect, and equality in work and leadership
REQUIREMENTS
· 5+ years of experience in a construction field or 2+ years of experience in a construction field along with specialized training i.e., architecture, engineering
· Good written and verbal communication skills
· Valid WA state driver’s license and insurance
· Ability to operate common construction tools like a ladder, tape measure, and level
· Ability to access all areas of residential and commercial properties including enclosed spaces like attics and crawlspace
· Working knowledge of Office 365
· Report writing or technical writing experience
· Detail oriented, organized, self-starter
