Job Title: Estimator – Commercial Construction

Location: Temecula, CA

Salary: $110,000 – $150,000 (DOE)

We are a well-established General Contractor based in Temecula, CA, specializing in retail, restaurant, and commercial construction projects across Southern California. Known for our quality craftsmanship, dependable project delivery, and long-term client relationships, we are seeking an experienced Construction Estimator to join our growing team.

The Role:

As an Estimator, you will play a critical role in the pre-construction process by preparing accurate and competitive project bids. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has strong knowledge of the commercial construction industry, especially in retail and restaurant build-outs.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects from conceptual through final design.
• Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
• Develop bid packages and solicit pricing from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Work closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients to ensure alignment on scope and budget.
• Attend job walks, pre-bid meetings, and conduct site investigations as necessary.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and potential project risks.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience estimating retail, restaurant, or commercial construction projects .
• Strong understanding of construction means and methods, scheduling, and budgeting.
• Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift, ProEst, or similar).
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
• Familiarity with local construction costs and subcontractor market in Southern California.
