Position: Clinical Pharmacist – PACE Clinic

Location: Onsite – Orange, CA 92868

Duration: 6 months (Possibilities of extensions/conversion)

Shift: Day 5x8-Hour

Schedule : Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Position Summary

The Clinical Pharmacist will support pharmacy operations and clinical programs within the PACE Clinic, contributing to high-quality, member-focused care. This role requires strong clinical judgment, analytical ability, and the capacity to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support departmental objectives with a focus on service, quality, and accountability.
  • Analyze drug utilization trends and develop updated utilization criteria.
  • Participate in MTM, disease state management, PACE, HEDIS/Stars, and other quality improvement programs.
  • Prepare drug monographs and reports for clinical review committees.
  • Review prior authorizations, appeals, and medication profiles using evidence-based guidelines.
  • Contribute to policy development, DUR/DUE initiatives, and clinical interventions.
  • Serve as a representative for hearings and assist with complaints and grievances.
  • Perform additional duties as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or equivalent experience.
  • Current expertise in clinical pharmacology and disease states.
  • Active, unrestricted California Registered Pharmacist license required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Residency or experience in pharmacy practice.
  • Experience with CMS, DHCS, DMHC, or NCQA audits.
  • Bilingual abilities in any threshold language (Arabic, Chinese, Farsi, Korean, Russian, Spanish, Vietnamese).

  • Strong communication, collaboration, and independent decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant clinical applications.
  • Solid organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
