Job Title : IP Medical Coder ( Remote )
Location : Brooklyn, NY 11203
Duration : 3-9 Months ( Contract Assignment with Extensions )
Schedule : 8:00 AM-4:00 PM EST
Schedule Notes: Required: Experience with EPIC and 3M is required , Candidate with inpatient coding experience will be ideal . CCS Certification is required.
This role is remote, with 1–2 weeks of training at the start, this position requires weekend schedule. If they are experienced coders and they live outside of NY. We can do training remotely.
Job Summary:
Medical coding in an acute care setting; must possess proficient computer skills (e.g., MS Word, Excel, ICD 9 CM, CPT 4, Encoder ); knowledge of coding guidelines, payor guidelines, federal billing guidelines; knowledge of anatomy, physiology & disease processes; ability to research coding related issues; competence in coder training; must have CCS and knowledgeable with 3M/HDS coding application. Inpatient and ED experience.

Three years’ experience Knowledge of ICD10
Education:
High School Diploma/GED, AHIMA, RHIA or RHIT and/or CCS .
