JOB SUMMARY:
The CDL Delivery Driver will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to designated locations while ensuring compliance with all company, local, state, and federal regulations. This role requires excellent driving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (is not limited too)
• Ensure timely delivery and pick-up of products according to pre-established schedules.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip, in-route, and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is safe and roadworthy.
• Maintain accurate records of delivery times, mileage, fuel use, and any delays or issues encountered.
• Verify invoices and paperwork for accuracy, return all documents in an organized manner, and communicate any discrepancies, shortages, or issues to the Manager and Warehouse Manager.
• Ensure all cargo is securely loaded and unloaded in accordance with safety standards.
• Adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations related to driving and vehicle operation, including hours of service. • Keep the vehicle and associated equipment in good working condition, following the company’s maintenance schedule, including regular cleaning of the truck’s interior.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and warehouse staff to ensure smooth operations and resolve any issues in a timely manner.
• Provide exceptional customer service when interacting with clients during deliveries, ensuring that products are delivered in a professional and courteous manner.
• Report any vehicle maintenance issues or accidents immediately to the appropriate personnel.
• Maintain a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) and DOT medical card at all times.
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
• Perform additional tasks as needed or assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) and DOT medical card
• Previous experience as a delivery driver, preferably in food distribution
• Ability to work independently and follow company policies and safety procedures
• Knowledge of kosher food handling (preferred but not required)
• Ability to safely operate large vehicles in various road and weather conditions.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with others in a team-oriented environment.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and capable of managing time effectively to meet delivery deadlines.
• Ability to lift and move products weighing up to and exceeding 50 lbs. (with appropriate lifting equipment).
• Strong attention to detail, safety-conscious, and able to manage multiple tasks effectively. 2
• Clean and drug screening required.

• Exposure to varying weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, and snow.
• Frequent travel on highways, rural roads, and urban areas with varying traffic conditions.
• Possible exposure to dust, fumes, and noise from truck operation and loading/unloading sites.
• May require work at night, weekends, and holidays, depending on delivery schedules.
• Must be able to sit for prolonged periods while operating a vehicle.
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and crouching while inspecting vehicles or handling cargo.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy loads up to and exceeding 50 lbs.
• Manual dexterity is required to operate vehicle controls, load handling equipment, and complete paperwork.
• Strong vision and hearing abilities to ensure safe driving and situational awareness.
• Requires stamina and endurance to meet demanding schedules and long driving hours.
