We are a Houston-based investment firm seeking pre-MBA Associates for our private credit platform.

Job Description

• Investing position focused on originated private credit transactions with a leading investment firm.
• Investments are made across a wide range of industries including business services, general industrial, healthcare, government services, tech-enabled services, software, media, technology, energy, consumer products, and specialty finance.
• Associates typically work on 3-4 live deals simultaneously, as well as work with existing investments and portfolio companies, so will have to balance multiple responsibilities.
• Associates are expected to develop their own opinions, contribute meaningfully to all aspects of the investment process (initial screening, diligence, structuring, etc.), and will gain an immense amount of deal experience (closing 6-10 transactions per year).

Potential Associate ( pre-MBA ) candidates should meet some of the following requirements:

• 2 – 4 years of experience in investment banking, private investing, or consulting.
• Three-statement financial modeling ability with LBO and/or leveraged finance modeling experience.
• Strong verbal and written presentation skills.
• Experience working on transactions and with companies in a range of industries is preferred.
• In addition to outstanding investment performance, the firm prides itself on its collegial culture, so personality fit is important.
• This is a two-year position, although longer career paths for top performers are available.
• This position is located at the firm’s main office in Houston, TX .  As such, only candidates who currently live in or who have strong ties to Houston/Texas will be considered.
