Job Title: AI Linguist

Location: Hybrid in Mountain View, CA — Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday mandatory.

Contract 12 months

Position Summary:

• We are seeking AI Linguists to join a diverse, interdisciplinary team focused on AI quality, evaluation, and annotation. The role contributes to developing and improving human judgment and annotation pipelines that support AI model training and evaluation.
• This position involves collaboration with AI Engineers and Linguists to enhance model accuracy, content relevance, and overall, AI performance through high-quality linguistic data and analysis.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement solutions for AI quality, evaluation, and annotation.
• Leverage generative AI prompting, human input, and hybrid approaches to develop scalable, high-quality human judgment workflows.
• Conduct data-driven linguistic analyses to inform project development.
• Participate in working groups to design and improve human judgment, annotation, and evaluation pipelines.
• Research and propose new methodologies for process and product improvement.
• Improve productivity, efficiency, and quality through workflow optimization and documentation.
• Perform continuous evaluations of AI products and report findings.

Basic Qualifications:

• 2+ years of relevant industry experience.
• 2+ years of experience with large-scale human judgment workflows and tools for AI model training/evaluation.
• 2+ years of experience translating linguistic data requirements into clear instructions and workflow designs.
• Proficiency in Python (intermediate level or higher).
