Job Description

Our clients are seeking a results-driven and commercially astute Agri Trader to join their dynamic commodities trading team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for originating, executing, and managing trades in agricultural commodities such as grains, oilseeds, pulses, or soft commodities. This role demands strong market knowledge, relationship-building capabilities, and a sound understanding of global agri supply chains.

Key Responsibilities:

• Originate, develop, and manage trading opportunities in agricultural markets (e.g., wheat, corn, soybeans, sugar, coffee, etc.).
• Execute physical and/or paper trades across domestic and international markets.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with producers, end-users, brokers, cooperatives, and logistics providers.
• Monitor global market trends, weather patterns, geopolitical events, and fundamental supply/demand data to drive trading strategy.
• Negotiate pricing, freight, and contract terms aligned with risk and profit objectives.
• Work closely with logistics, operations, and finance teams to ensure smooth execution and settlement of trades.
• Manage risk exposure in compliance with internal risk frameworks and trading limits.
• Prepare market reports and trade performance analysis for senior management.
